At 2000 RPM, pad selection is critical: use white, tan, or natural fiber burnishing pads. Aggressive pads (black or green) at this speed will remove finish, not polish it. The front caster assembly does the pad pressure work — the operator guides the machine without pushing down on the handle, which would lift the front caster and create uneven pad contact. The interlock switch stops the machine the moment the handle is released, which is important for operator safety in active commercial environments.
